This guide explains the Driver Management feature in Trustd and The Exchange, including how to set it up and use it to verify your network.
What is Driver Management?
Trustd Driver Management is a digital tool that makes compliance simple and builds trust.
It helps businesses onboard, verify, and manage drivers and employees quickly and securely, so you can operate with confidence.
With Network Management, businesses gain visibility into the structure and hierarchy of their entire network.
How does Driver Management work?
- Invite your network
The account owner or fleet manager invites drivers and subcontractors from the Drivers/Vehicles section in their Exchange account. To get to this section click Drivers/Vehicles from the top nav bar - Next, click Users/Drivers from the left hand side menu.
- Then click Add User / Company Driver
- Enter the drivers information on the next page including mobile number and email address
- Driver receives invite
This sends an email prompting the driver or subcontractor to join Trustd. - Driver completes profile
The driver provides:- Personal information
- Identity documents (Passport and Driving Licence)
- Proof of trading address (if different from residential)
- Insurance documents (Vehicle insurance certificate and Goods in Transit certificate)
- Vehicle photos and registration number
- Bank account details (for fast payments)
- Fleet manager reviews
Once the profile is complete, the fleet manager or account owner reviews the driver’s details and documents in the Drivers/Vehicles section of their Exchange account.
Attesting driver or subcontractor profiles
After a driver or subcontractor completes their profile, the fleet manager or account owner must attest it.
Attestation means confirming that the information provided is accurate and that the driver has all the required licences and documents to represent your business.
To attest:
- Navigate to the Drivers/Vehicles section in your Exchange account.
- Click Add User / Company Driver on the left hand menu
- Find the driver’s you want to review and click Review / Attest.
- This will open the drivers Trustd driver card
- You can then review the drivers insurance, vehicle information and ID.
- Once you have reviewed the driver card and the information in it, you are able to attest the drivers profile
- Click Attest to do confirm the attestation of the profile.
- This marks the driver as a verified member of your network.
The driver will then be shown on your Exchange profile as a verified driver, represented by the little blue figure, as shown below.
Once verified:
- The driver can quote for SecureLoads.
- Their profile will display a Verified badge.
- They will appear as verified part of your fleet on your company profile, showing how many verified drivers your business has.
Why it matters:
The number of verified drivers demonstrates your fleet’s commitment to security and trust. Fleets with more verified drivers stand out to load posters and partners.
