This guide explains the Driver Management feature in Trustd and The Exchange, including how to set it up and use it to verify your network.
What is Driver Management?
Trustd Driver Management is a digital tool that makes compliance simple and builds trust.
It helps businesses onboard, verify, and manage drivers quickly and securely, so you can operate with confidence.
How does Driver Management work?

Invite your network
Invite drivers from the Drivers/Vehicles section in their Exchange account. To get to this section click Drivers/Vehicles from the top nav bar - Only account admins can invite drivers. - Next, click Users/Drivers from the left hand side menu.
- Then either invite existing users by clicking "Enrol to Trustd", or add a new users by clicking Add User / Company Driver and classifying them as a driver
- When enrolling an existing driver or adding a new driver, you must specify whether they are a subcontractor or employee

Driver receives invite
This sends an email prompting the driver to join The Exchange and Trustd. - The driver will set up their login information for The Exchange and Trustd

Driver completes profile
All drivers must provide:- Identity documents (Passport and Driving Licence)
- If they're a subcontractor, they will also have to provide:
Proof of trading address (if different from residential)
Insurance documents (Vehicle insurance certificate and Goods in Transit certificate) - Vehicle photos and registration number (if different from residential)
- Bank account details (for fast payments)
- Once a driver has uploaded all the information required, they can go to Connections page in Trustd to accept the invitation to share their Trustd Profile with their Fleet.

Fleet manager reviews
Once the profile is complete, the fleet manager or account owner reviews the driver’s details and documents in the Drivers/Vehicles section of their Exchange account.
Please note: All drivers who are added to your account will need to complete their Trustd profile and be attested by the account admin before they are able to be assigned bookings.
Attesting profiles
After a driver completes their profile, the account admin can attest to their compliance it.
Attestation means confirming that the information provided is accurate and that the driver has all the required licences and documents to represent your business.
To attest:
- Navigate to the Drivers/Vehicles section in your Exchange account.
- Click Users / Drivers on the left hand menu
- Find the driver’s you want to review and click Review / Attest.
- This will open the drivers Trustd driver card
- You can then review the details:
- For subcontractors: insurance, vehicle information and ID.
- For employee drivers: Driving licence and Passport.
- Once you have reviewed the driver card and the information in it, you are able to attest the drivers profile
- Click Attest to confirm the attestation of the profile.
- This marks the driver as a verified member of your network.
- The driver will appear as a verified driver on your Exchange profile: visible in the Directory and under Member Details when quoting, represented by the blue verified driver icon, as shown below.
Please note: If your driver needs to have their CX driver app activated, you can contact our support team who will enable it for you. You can do this by emailing us at support@transportexchangegroup.com
Once verified:
- The driver can be allocated Trustd loads by the account admin.
- Your fleet profile will be updated to show how many verified drivers you have.
- Your verified fleet is your competitive advantage, fleets with all their drivers verified will stand out from the crowd.
Why it matters:
The number of verified drivers demonstrates your fleet’s commitment to security and trust. Fleets with more verified drivers stand out to load posters and partners, And makes the Fleet eligible to complete SecureLoads.
Driver status / Trustd driver card
You can view all your drivers from the Users/Drivers section in the Exchange as shown below.
The following statuses can be shown for your drivers once they are added to your account.
- Enrol to Trustd - click to invite a driver to complete Driver Management via Trustd
- Re-send Invitation - resend the invitation to Driver Management via Trustd
- Review/Attest - driver profile is ready to be reviewed, and attested if you are happy with information provided
- View - view an attested driver profile
