Why we’re verifying email addresses on the Exchange
✔ It ensures that the email address you’ve provided us with is valid and has no typos. This is crucial to receive any important communications from us.
✔ It drastically increases the safety of your account since it will be verified and linked to your specific email address which can only be used by you.
✔ As you use your email address to log in, you don't need to remember different usernames for different tools like web or mobile apps.
👤 How to verify your email address as a sole trader/owner-operator
If you’re the only user on your account, i.e.: you’re a sole trader/owner-operator, email verification can be completed in these simple steps:
Step 1) Log in to your account
Step 2) You’ll see a pop-up window asking you to enter the email address you’d like to verify. Enter your email address taking care to type it correctly, and click on the green button that says, ‘Send Verification Email’.
Step 3) After clicking ‘Send Verification Email’, in a few minutes you’ll receive an email that looks like this. Click on the green button that says, ‘Verify Email’ to continue.
Please note: if you haven’t received anything within 10 minutes, please check your spam folder. Alternatively, you can run a search for the email by typing in the sender address "alerts_cx@transportexchangegroup.com".
Step 4) After clicking on the button you’ll be taken to a page that looks like this. Click ‘Verify Email’ to complete the process.
Step 5) Voila! Your email address is now successfully verified with the Exchange.
👥 How to verify users on your company account as admin
If you’re operating on the Exchange as a business/company, i.e.: you have a company admin account, you will need to verify all the users on your account.
Important to keep in mind:
Each user must have a unique email address. If your company uses a shared email address (like admin@xyz.co.za) and you or another user have already chosen it as your unique email, the other users will need to choose a different email address to go about the verification. A unique email address can only be verified by one user to log into the Exchange.
Here’s how to send verification links to all the users on your company admin account:
Step 1) Log in to your account
Step 2) Click on ‘Verify Email’ next to the name of each user to send them a verification link.
Step 3) Please confirm the user's email address and click ‘Send Verification Email’.
Step 4) The link is only valid for 24 hours. Click ‘Okay’ to continue.
Your users will now receive the verification link via their email address to complete the process.
👤 How to verify your email address as a user on a company account

Click on ‘Verify Email’ to complete verification.
Here’s an example of what you’ll see once your email has been successfully verified by the Exchange.
If your company admin hasn’t kickstarted verification on your behalf yet, you can do it by yourself. It’s easy!
Here’s how to verify your email address yourself:
Step 1) Log in to your account
Step 2) You’ll see a pop-up window asking you to enter the email address you’d like to verify. Enter your email address taking care to type it correctly, and click on the green button that says, ‘Send Verification Email’.

Step 4) After clicking on the button you’ll be taken to a page that looks like this. Click ‘Verify Email’ to complete the process.
Step 5) Voila! Your email address is now successfully verified with the Exchange.
Merging users - what is it and how does it help?
If you choose to send a verification link to a user who our system identifies as having different login credentials for the mobile app and web, you can merge these profiles so that they use one email address across both.
Here’s an example of what we mean:
Peter is a courier driver working for Company X and has access to the mobile app for completing load deliveries, but he also logs in to the desktop platform to manage quotes and use the Live Loads map.
He uses different login credentials across each and sometimes gets them mixed up and contacts his admin regularly for help. You can make things simpler for him by merging his profiles, so he only needs one set of credentials to access both mobile app and desktop.
Here’s how:
Step 1) Click on ‘Verify Email’ next to the name of the company driver you’d like to verify.
Step 2) Enter their email address taking care not to make any typos and click ‘Send Verification Email’.
Step 3) Our system will identify that they have access to both mobile app and desktop and prompt you to merge these profiles, so the driver uses one email address across both.
Click ‘Merge accounts’ to continue.
Step 4) Read the confirmation pop-up and select ‘Yes, merge accounts’.
Step 5) The company driver’s profiles have been merged and they will receive a verification link to confirm the one email address they will be using to log in going forward.
How adding new users has changed
As all users now must have their email addresses verified with the Exchange, adding new users to your company account has changed slightly.
Here’s how:
Step 1) Click on the ‘Drivers & Vehicles’ tab at the top.
Step 2) Go to the Users/Drivers section on the left.
Step 3) Enter the personal details of the user you want to add and make sure they’re classified as a ‘Company User’.
Step 4) If the user is a driver, check the box that asks, ‘Will this user be classified as a driver?’ If you only want them to have access to the mobile app but not to the desktop platform, leave the box that says, ‘Web Login Allowed’ unchecked.
Click ‘Save’ when done.
The user you’ve just added to your company account will receive an email that looks like this:
They will need to click ‘Verify Email’ to start verification.
They will be asked to choose a new password that they’ll use to log in to the Exchange.
Once they click ‘Submit’, their email address will be successfully verified on the Exchange.
If you use a shared email address for multiple users and this same email address receives important notifications such as POD’s and booking acceptance, we got your back.
You can go to your settings and add this email as the notification email for POD’s and bookings’ confirmation. Here’s how
