The Exchange has thousands of loads posted daily, and that means thousands of potential business opportunities waiting for you! By using our mobile app, our system can match suitable loads to your vehicle using your live location.

How to search for a load
You must be logged in to the desktop version to search for loads as the mobile app doesn’t allow this functionality. The mobile app matches loads to your vehicle based on your availability and location. These notifications appear as ‘Load Alerts’.
You can quote on these loads from the mobile app and have them allocated to you if your quote is accepted. But if you want to actively search for loads in your area, you’ll need to do this on the desktop version of CX.
Step 1) Log in to your account and click on the ‘Loads’ tab.
This is where you’ll find all posted load opportunities.
Step 2) By using the ‘search loads’ filter to the left of the screen, it narrows down the suitable loads available to you.
Step 3) To start searching for a load, enter your ‘From’ and ‘To’ location and adjust the radius you’re willing to pick up loads in.
Step 4) Adjust the minimum and maximum filters using the drop-down list to match your vehicle, so the system doesn’t show you loads greater than what your vehicle can carry.
We suggest setting the minimum filter slider to a smaller vehicle size to keep your options open.
A good idea would be to click ‘Save as Default’ so you don’t have to re-key the same data when searching for loads.
Step 5) Use the date filter to customize results based on your availability, freight preferences, and body type. Remember, the search results will reflect all filters applied. The more filters you add, the narrower your search results, meaning you’ll see fewer loads on the feed.
Step 6) At the top of the ‘Search Load Results’ tab, you can view loads that are ‘on-demand’, ‘regular’, and ‘daily hire’.
On Demand – Loads that are posted as and when they are needed.
Regular Load – Loads that have a regular posting schedule like every Monday to Friday, available on each of these days.
Daily Hire – Loads that require your services for a full day.
How to quote for a load
Electronic quotes, also known as eQuotes, help transport professionals get faster responses on quotes so they can keep their business opportunities moving.
How to quote for loads on the loads board (desktop)
Step 1) If a load poster accepts eQuotes, a green button saying ‘Quote Now’ will be visible on the load card.
Clicking on it will preload a quote with important details like the load ID, company details, the from/to location and minimum vehicle size.
Pay close attention to the member’s payment terms and load notes, which can be found on each load card. Make sure you read their payment terms as this will affect when you get paid and if you don’t follow instructions, they could simply ignore your quote request. You also need to keep in mind that the distance shown there is only an estimation.
Some members will have very particular delivery or collection instructions in the notes like allowing phone calls for quotes. If they allow phone calls, make sure you have your member ID, total price excluding VAT and load ID to hand. Always follow their instructions to receive good feedback.
If you’re curious to see the load poster’s feedback left by other members on the Exchange, click on ‘View Details’.
Step 2) Next, enter your pickup time and vehicle from the drop-down menus, choose your currency and enter your quote.
You can also add extras like congestion charges or tolls to your quote by clicking the ‘extras’ button.
Step 3) Click ‘submit quote’ when you’re done.
You can review your active quotes by clicking on the ‘My Quotes’ tab.
Here it shows you whether your quote was successful or not.
If you don’t hear back from the load poster in 10 minutes, it could be that your quote was unsuccessful. Don’t let it get you down! There are plenty of other load opportunities that you can quote on.
Remember:
You don’t want to be in the position of having to decline work because of conflicting bookings. When quoting for loads, be sensible in choosing pickup and drop off times that are realistic.
How to quote for loads on the mobile app
On the mobile app, load opportunities are sent to you in the form of ‘Alerts’.
Step 1) Tap on ‘Load Alerts’ to see all the load opportunities within your predefined radius.
A load poster that accepts electronic quotes will have a green button that says, ‘Quote Now’.
Step 2) Once you’ve chosen a load, tap the green ‘Quote Now’ button.
Step 3) Next, the process is the same as on desktop – simply populate the rest of the form and tap ‘Submit’.
Step 4) You can view your active quotes by tapping on ‘My Quotes’.
If the load poster doesn’t accept electronic quotes, find their contact details by tapping on the load card. Always remember to include your member ID when calling them about your quote.
How to know if your quote was accepted
If your quote was accepted and you’re booked for the load, the load poster will either call you or send you a message to let you know they’re allocating the load to you.
You can use the ‘Messenger’ on your mobile app to contact them if you need to.
Although it’s common for them to reach out to you, they might not necessarily do this, which is why you should always keep an eye on your mobile app or desktop alerts if you’ve recently submitted quotes to ensure you don’t miss a booking.
If you’re on the desktop version, you’ll receive a confirmation notification in the ‘Live’ bar at the bottom of your screen.
If you’re on the mobile app, you’ll receive a banner notification that looks like this:
The ‘Bookings’ tile will also have numbers on it, indicating that you’ve received a new booking for a load.
