Keeping on top of invoicing involves cross-referencing the payments in your bank account with the invoices in the ‘Accounting’ section of the Exchange. When doing so you can accidentally mark an invoice as paid in error. But don’t worry, this can be corrected in just a few clicks.
Step 1) When you mark an invoice as paid, the invoice will show that nothing is outstanding in the ‘Owing’ column of the table of invoices.
Step 2) Simply click on the ‘process payment’ icon to the left of the invoice in question.
Step 3) In the ‘Amount’ field it will display 0.000000. Amend this to the amount the invoice was for, with a minus sign in front of it.
Step 4) Save the change.
Step 5) Once saved, the ‘Owing’ column will once again display the correct amount outstanding for the invoice.
