We’ve introduced two new Finance Manager permission roles. This means if you’re a Company Admin, or an Account Owner, you now have the power to decide whether a user should be a:
- Finance Director; or
- Finance Bookkeeper
What do the two roles mean?
The Finance Director has the highest level of access. In addition to the Finance Bookkeeper permissions, they also have the authority to manage Finance Manager settings, integrations and access the Wallet.
The Finance Bookkeeper can only access Finance Manager, approve invoices and set up payments.
How can I assign a Finance role to a user?
To assign either of these Finance roles to a user, you'll need to:
- Go to Settings > Users / Drivers.
- Find the user from the list and click on the pencil icon to edit their profile
- Go to the 'Roles' section (as highlighted in the image below) and select the appropriate role.
- Press the Save button
What if I don’t want a user to access Finance Manager (FM)?
To remove FM access for a user, please deselect both finance roles (so untick both Finance Director and Finance Bookkeeper boxes) and save. The user will then see this screen below, when they try to access Finance Manager.
