We’re introducing new Finance Manager permission roles. This means if you’re a Company Admin, you now have the power to decide whether a user is:
- A Finance Director
- A Finance Bookkeeper
What do these roles mean?
Soon, we will introduce payments and transactions on the platform. In preparation for this, we’ve introduced finance permissions roles.
This gives Company Admins permission to choose which users in the company will have the authority to make payments.
- A Finance Director can make payments on the platform.
- A Finance Bookkeeper cannot make payments on the platform.
Both roles can now access Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
For existing roles
All users who currently have access to Finance Manager have been automatically switched over:
Company users with access to AR and/or AP --> are automatically set as ‘Finance Bookkeepers’
Company admins with access to AR and/or AP --> are automatically set as ‘Finance Directors'
What if I don’t want a user to access Finance Manager?
Simply deselect both finance roles (so untick both Finance Director and Finance Bookkeeper boxes). The user won't be able to access FM in this case.
Why are you introducing this now?
In time, we’ll be introducing payments to the platform. Now, you – the Company Admin – has control over who can/can't make payments for later down the line.
