Transport Exchange Group (‘TEG’) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of compliance and verification on the Exchange platform, enabling our member businesses to confidently buy and sell freight transport capacity.
To ensure that the businesses that you are working with have been checked and verified, and that they hold valid documentation, Transport Exchange Group has partnered with Trustd to conduct compliance checks on all new and existing member businesses.
Becoming Verified by Trustd
Whether you are a new business joining the Exchange for the first time or an existing member you will be required to provide evidence that your business is compliant to trade. The account owner/administrator for your TEG membership will receive an email invitation from Trustd which will allow you to register, create and submit a profile. You can find further details on how to complete your profile here and learn more about how Trustd processes your information here.
Verifying Trustd Status (Business Owners and Company Directors)
Trustd requires the Owner of a business, and/or a Company Director (who must be listed at Companies House) to verify their business credentials.
Verified by Trustd
Trustd enables you to display your business’s compliance to trade on the Exchange, that you are who you claim to be, your business credentials have been verified and that all required documentation, is both verified and valid. This allows the entire Exchange to operate with confidence when transacting with other members. It is your responsibility to maintain a verified Trustd profile.
Compliant Member Policy – displaying the blue Trustdshield
The blue Trustd Shield will appear on your TEG profile, confirming that you have met the compliance requirements for that type of business to trade on the Exchange.
Your account will retain the Trustd shield whilst you remain compliant – this is visible to other members. You will have full access to trade on the Exchange, as permitted by your subscription type.
Non-Compliant Member Policy – restricted status
If your Trustd profile becomes non-compliant at any time (see below for a comprehensive list of reasons) the blue Trustd Shield will be greyed out on your TEG profile. At this point an automated trade restriction will be put in place against your TEG account*. This will be lifted when you update the non-compliant document(s) in Trustd and submit your amended profile and these have been re-verified as demonstrated below.
Your account’s non-compliant Trustd status will be visible to other members of the Exchange.
During the restricted period you will still be able to access all other features permitted by your subscription.
*Features which are restricted in your TEG account during any period of non-compliance include: the suspension of all load notifications, removal of the loads section, Return Journeys cannot be created or edited, all tracked vehicles are hidden from other members.
Your obligations
If your TEG account becomes non-compliant for any reason, and trade restrictions are put in place, all existing contractual obligations with other TEG member businesses remain in force, including but not restricted to the payment of invoices.
Temporary Exceptions upon submission
- Holding a non-UK driving license.
- Business is registered in a non-UK location.
- Non-UK vehicle registration plate.
If any of the above criteria apply to your business, please contact Transport Exchange Group, here, to become Trustd.
