What is an Account Owner?
The Account Owner is the ultimate owner of an Exchange account and has the authority to complete all actions.
We automatically assign the Account Owner role to the Company Director (or Sole Trader) who completed their company’s Trustd application.
What's the purpose of an Account Owner?
We’ve introduced the Account Owner role to enhance the overall security and integrity of the platform by ensuring only one person has the authority to view and edit sensitive information. This will be especially important when we introduce payment functionality to the platform.
I’ve been assigned the Account Owner role. Do I need to do anything?
When you next log in, you’ll see a pop-up asking you to review and verify your company’s users and their assigned roles. If any of the details are incorrect, please edit them accordingly.
What responsibilities does an Account Owner have?
The Account Owner is the only member of an account with the authority to view and edit:
- Assign and edit all user roles
- Trustd profile
- Company profile
- Bank details stored in Trustd
- Business documents stored in Trustd
Who's assigned the Account Owner role?
The Account Owner role is automatically assigned to the person who has completed the Trustd application for their company.
What’s the difference between Account Owner and other roles (Company Admin, Company User, Finance Bookkeeper and Finance Director)?

How can I change the Account Owner of my company?
If your company needs to change its Account Owner, please submit a support request so we can help assign a new Account Owner to your company’s account.
What happens if the Account Owner leaves the company?
If the Account Owner leaves the company, please submit a support request so we can help assign a new Account Owner to your company’s account.
There's no Account Owner associated with my company. Why's that?
If your company has no Account Owner showing, this is because your company has not completed a Trustd application yet. If this is the case please submit a support request for a link to start your Trustd application.
