Setting your availability status through the mobile app lets the general Exchange know if you’re available for bookings or not.
By keeping your availability status in check, you do two things:
1. Grow your Exchange profile by being visible to our members for direct bookings.
2. You appear on the Live Availability Map, as tracking on the map requires your current availability status.
To set your status, simply click the 'Status' tile on the mobile app.
This will take you to the 'Status' page.
Choose your current availability status.
Then choose a contextual message to go along with your status.
I'm 'available' options
I 'may be available' options
I'm 'unavailable' options
Once you've chosen your status and message, select the length of time you would like to advertise these criteria for.
It is capped at 4 hours to keep the map current and will ask you to reset your status when the timer expires.
If you do not reset your status after expiration, your status will appear on the Live Availability Map as 'unknown' for a half an hour and then we will stop tracking you and you will no longer appear.
After you have made your choices, click 'Submit'.
All of this takes seconds to do and can make a big difference in how successful you are on the Exchange.
