What is Trustd?
Trustd is our new compliance and digital identity partner – elevating the compliance standards of everyone involved with transport and logistics.
Why is getting Trustd mandatory?
TEG is on a mission to raise compliance standards in our industry.
Trustd goes beyond regular once-off compliance checks. It runs advanced compliance checks automatically and on an ongoing basis.
So, once all Exchange members are Trustd, you'll have access to a community whose compliance standards exceed the status quo!
How will getting Trustd help my business?
Once you’re Trustd, in time, we’ll add a blue shield to your Exchange profile. Your Trustd Shield signals your business’s professionalism to other Exchange members.
At the same time, other members will know that you’re a verified business with compliance standards that exceed the current status quo.
This will also benefit you when choosing members to work with and will help you determine which members are compliant with recognised industry standards.

- 1 x bank statement or bank letter (must include your business address)

Why wouldn’t I pass Trustd checks?
Reasons for not passing Trustd’s verification process include (but aren’t limited to):
- Failing to upload all documents
- Uploading incomplete, or counterfeit documents
- Uploading documents that have expired or are out of date
- Uploading incorrect documents
- Uploading documents with insufficient information
- Supplying incorrect or inaccurate information
If your application isn’t successful on the first attempt, don’t worry. You’ll receive an email highlighting the reasons you weren’t verified. You can then adjust your submission accordingly.
Can I edit my details once I’ve submitted my Trustd application?
Once your Trustd verification is complete, and your Trustd profile is either ‘live’ (you passed verification) or ‘declined’ (your application didn’t pass and needs further action from you), you can edit your details.
To do this you will need to contact Trustd on the live chat.
After all your details are re-verified, your updates will show on your Exchange business profile. However, please note that while your application is in the ‘submitted’ stage (and being reviewed by Trustd) you can’t make edits.
Once verified, will I ever need to re-verify my Trustd account?
Yes. When your compliance documents are due to expire, you’ll need to upload new, up-to-date documents to your Trustd profile.
Will you remind me if a document is set to expire?
Yes. Trustd will send several email reminders to you before any document is due to expire. You will receive your first reminder 60 days before the document is due to expire and then: 30 days, 15, 6, 5 and 2 days before expiry.
This is so you have plenty of notice to upload the up-to-date version of the document.
What happens if I don’t upload new, up-to-date documents to my Trustd profile before the expiration date?
If you do not upload new, up-to-date documents before the expiration date, your account will become non-compliant on the Exchange and your Trustd shield will turn from blue to grey.
The Trustd grey shield indicates to TEG members that you are non-compliant on the Exchange.
To revert your grey shield back to blue, you must update any non-compliant (expired) documents on your Trustd profile.

I have a Trustd grey shield next to my profile. What does this mean?
A Trustd grey shield indicates that you are no longer compliant on the Exchange.
To revert your shield back to blue, please update any non-compliant (expired) documents on your Trustd profile.
What is the Trustd shield?
The Trustd shield is a visual way of signalling to other Exchange members that your business is verified Trustd!
Where will the Trustd shield appear?
Your Trustd shield will appear on your Exchange profile – and you can also find it next to your business name in various places on the Exchange.
The Trustd shield shows other businesses that you’re verified and compliant on an ongoing basis – making your business more attractive to work with.
