Curious about the difference between hotshots and backloads?
Both terms relate to the delivery of the goods. However it's important to understand the difference between the two to avoid mistakes, negative feedback and/or possible disputes.
The jobs appear on both the 'Loads' tab on the desktop version of the Exchange, and also the 'Alerts' tab on the Courier Exchange app and the CX Fleet app.
The app will display the full information regarding the job term, and will indicate whether the job is a Hotshot or a Backload.
The desktop version will only indicate Backloads. If there is no indication of what type of automatically a Hotshot.
What is a Hotshot?
A Hotshot is an urgent, time-sensitive job and therefore a premium price can be offered.
What is a Backload?
A Backload is when there is capacity left in the vehicle, or the vehicle will be empty at some point while taking a journey. These jobs are typically sold at a lower rate per mile and offer more flexibility when it comes to the delivery of the goods.
