This guide explain how to install the CX app on both Apple and Android devices.
The new version of the CX mobile app launched on the 3rd February 2026.
Please note that older versions will be discontinued one month after launch, this means that you must upgrade to the latest version before the 2nd of March to ensure you do not lose access.
Before installing
Before installing the new version of the CX app please check the following:
- Ensure you are using the latest version of iOS (Apple) and Android OS (Android)
- The CX app can be installed on any operating systems later than iOS 16 for apple, and Android 7 for Android phones, however for the most stable experience we advise using the latest OS version possible.
- We have more information on version history for Apple and Android for your information.
Updating your operating system
For Apple phones, see this guide on installing the latest operating system.
For Android phones, see this guide on installing the latest operating system.
Currently, we support devices running our Exchange mobile apps using:
- Android 13 or above
- iOS 16 or above
Please note: Some older phone models may not support the operating system (OS) versions required to run the latest version of the CX app.
For example, the iPhone 7 supports up to iOS 15, which means it cannot run the newest version of the CX app.
If you're using an older device:
- You can upgrade to a newer handset that supports the required OS version to access the latest app features.
- Alternatively, you may continue using your current device with an older version of the app, though this may limit functionality.
We advise upgrading your handset to ensure compatibility with the latest app version. This allows you to benefit from all the newest features, performance improvements, and security updates.
