All Exchange members must follow the Transport Exchange Group (“we”, “us”, “TEG” and “our”) Social Media Guidelines when interacting on social media. The Guidelines exist to:
- Safeguard confidential information and personal data
- Maintain the integrity and reputation of the Exchange community (Courier Exchange, Haulage Exchange and CX Euro); and
- Help avoid problems and misunderstandings
The Guidelines are as follows:
- When sharing screenshots and/or recordings of any part of the Exchange, whether of the desktop/web version or one of our mobile apps, all personal details, and confidential information, must be hidden, blurred out or removed. This includes first and last names, company names, phone numbers, email addresses, physical or business addresses (including delivery and collection points), agreed quotes, bank details and other sensitive personal information. By failing to obscure these details, you could be publicising sensitive information, and in doing so could be in breach of our terms and conditions and our data policy. Such breaches may result in account suspensions and/or membership revocations Note, of course, that the above guidance doesn’t necessarily apply in certain circumstances (such as taking photos of goods as proof of delivery or to prove good condition at delivery). If you must film or photograph as part of your business activities, refrain from recording private information such as booking details, landmarks, location information, people’s faces, and security information and/or procedures.
- The use of social media to:
- defame, intimidate, or abuse any Exchange member;
- to negatively criticise a specific Exchange member; or
- To criticise TEG (or its workers) including communicating threatening, abusive, harassing, or otherwise objectionable action;
- Influence or persuade others not to use TEG’s subscriptions or services; This includes influencing or persuading others to join an existing member’s account as a driver in exchange for a fee or percentage of earnings rather than setting up their own Owner Driver account; and
- Advertise for syndicates (defined as allowing others to log into your account using your account owner’s credentials in exchange for a fee or percentage of earnings);
are prohibited and can lead to account suspensions and/or membership revocations.
Publicly shaming members on social media or other channels
Please use the Exchange forums or social media channels to appropriately inform and positively engage with the trading community. Refrain from making negative comments (even if true or untrue) about other members on these public online spaces. If you need to report a concern, please make use of the feedback system on our platform.
Information shared on the Exchange is protected in accordance with our privacy policy. You are not permitted to share screenshots of load postings, conversations or booking-related details anywhere outside of the Exchange that could degrade the reputation of our platform and member businesses.
Suspension or Revocation
If we find that the social media post, mention or reference to a particular Exchange member, or TEG, was posted in contravention of our Guidelines, we may suspend or revoke your account.
How we enforce this policy:
Any of these behaviours are intolerable and warrant immediate suspension or membership revocation upon presenting us with evidence.
