Approve and pay your invoices

This guide will explain how to approve and pay your invoices using SmartPay.

How to bulk approve and pay multiple invoices at the same time

  • Click Pending approvals from the Dashboard
  • On the Awaiting Approval tab, you can view invoices grouped by supplier. Rather than reviewing invoices individually, click on Smart approve
  • If there are no discrepancies, the next step is to Approve and pay
  • Follow the steps to confirm the payment amount and number of supplier payees
  • Transfer funds from your bank account into your Wallet
  • Once transferred the payment will be processed at the end of the day. Learn more about payment timelines
  • Go to All to see the Paid; Paid on platform payment status. Alternatively you can filter for all invoices Paid on platform means it was paid through SmartPay – no further action is required to complete the payment

 

How to approve and pay a single invoice

  • Click Pending approvals from the Dashboard
  • On the Awaiting Approval tab, click on the supplier and then on a single invoice
  • Review the Order, Invoice and Proof of Delivery details
  • Click Approve and pay
  • Follow the steps to confirm the payment amount and number of supplier payees
  • Transfer funds from your bank account into your Wallet
  • Once transferred the payment will be processed at the end of the day.
  • Go to All to see the Paid; Paid on platform payment status. Alternatively you can filter for all invoices Paid on platform means it was paid through SmartPay – no further action is required to complete the payment

 

How to approve an invoice to pay later

When you approve one or multiple invoices, you can select Approve and close to pay later. This invoice will move to Ready to Pay where you can Schedule and close to pay by the due date. The payment will remain in Due later status until you confirm the payment and transfer funds into your Wallet through the Pay Now workflow.
